'In a world where the music industry serves up pre-packed homogenised market driven product, it warms the soul to know artists like Martyna are unaffected by the machine' - Big George - BBC Three Counties

The Trouble With Me Tour 2007 sees the release of Martyna’s third independent recording, following the highly successful debut EP Spark, which sold out of it’s first run in just two months with several tracks reaching number one on established down load charts, and also the full length album ‘Little Wings’ which received generous radio airplay and excellent reviews.

A piano based singer-songwriter with a remarkable talent for creating beautifully crafted songs that are both memorable and unique, Martyna is gaining a strong reputation as one to watch in the music world.

One of only 5 people selected from across the country by the acclaimed venue ‘The Stables’ founded by Cleo Laine and John Dankworth, singer-songwriter Martyna has recently completed the Leverhulme Scholarship Artist Programme which saw her working with artists such as Boo Hewerdine, David Knopfler and Cara Dillon among others.

In 2006 she was also selected as the first featured artist on Big George’s ‘Business of Sound’, a radio show dedicated to new talent for the BBC. This led to further appearances on local radio including a live performance on Jeremy Sallis’ Audio Files, tracks from which have appeared on a BBC CD released in 2006.

2006 also saw Martyna headlining the Acoustic Stage at Parklife Festival and playing both The BBC Stage and The Willow Stage at the well known Rhythms of the World festival.
